Troubleshooting
The Attentive connector does not appear or is unavailable.
Check your AI application’s connector/MCP directory and confirm that Attentive is available to your account. In a managed workspace, your administrator may need to enable it.
For custom MCP connections, verify the server URL and Streamable HTTP transport. Complete the Attentive sign-in flow, then check the connection using your client’s MCP settings.
I see only a few tools, or fewer than expected.
Tool availability depends on your selected company, account access, connection configuration, and enabled Attentive products. Ask your AI application to confirm the selected company and refresh its tool list. If the list remains out of date, reconnect and check again.
I cannot create or edit anything.
Check whether your connection exposes the required write tools and whether your AI application or workspace restricts their use. For custom MCP connections, tools that change Attentive data require ?readOnly=false and a new session. Enabling write mode does not grant additional Attentive permissions.
A write action did not go through.
Review the error returned by the tool. If your AI application requested approval and you declined, approve the action only if you still want it performed. If the request timed out or the connection dropped, check whether the change was applied before retrying.
Responses seem off or incomplete.
Start a fresh conversation to clear stale context. Specify the company, date range, and expected result, and ask your AI application to distinguish tool results from its own interpretation. A different model may improve the response, but it will not resolve access or tool errors.
My session expired.
Reconnect through your AI application and complete Attentive authentication if prompted. Confirm the selected company and refresh the tool list before continuing. Restart the application if the connection or tool list remains stale.
Switching companies requires additional authentication.
Follow the tool’s instructions to complete authentication in your browser, then retry the company switch. If access is denied, choose a company your account can access.
