Is the MCP server an AI?
No. It is not an AI agent and does not reason, decide, or act on its own. It is the controlled access point your external AI agent uses to interact with approved Attentive workflows.

Does this replace Attentive's native agents (like the Reporting Agent)?
No. They are complementary. Native agents are better for deep, in-product context. The MCP server is the extension point for connecting Attentive to your own external AI tools and cross-platform workflows.

Which AI clients are supported?
Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible agents. The beta prioritizes customers using Claude Code and ChatGPT Codex.

Can it change my live campaigns or journeys?
Only if you enable write mode (?readOnly=false), and, where your client supports it, only after you confirm each change. Keep higher-risk actions under human review.
